The Burma VJ Widget was used to promote the independant file documentary Burma VJ which was released on July the 17th 2009.
This was my first application built using an MVC based actionscript 3 framework with help from my colleague Daniel Ivanovic.
The widget was built using Flash Actionscript 3 and was supported by a PHP 5 and AMFPHP platform which I developed with scripts run on cron jobs to retrieve rss feeds from several sources. I also used the Zend PHP Framework to get YouTube videos from the official films channel.
UPDATE: The widget has now been removed from the web but you can access the website here.
