Fisher Outdoor Leisure

Fisher Outdoor Leisure are one of the biggest bike distributors in the UK supplying companies like Evans and The Cycle Surgery. They also deal in high level brands such as Troy Lee Design, Dahon, Met, Avid & Sram.

I worked there between June 2007 and January 2008 helping them to build and deploy their business to business and customer websites using Microsoft Active Server Pages. I also collaborated to build an online administration and workshop system that enabled the staff to book in repairs and make other site amendments.

At Fisher Outdoor Leisure I was tasked to:

• Collaborate with Online Co-ordinator and Epicor Software Solutions on company’s online Storefront and Backoffice projects using ASP, SQL, CSS and Javascript technologies
• Utilise Microsoft Chart to create online reports and graphs for staff to present to management
• Manage design and development of documentation and code for the company’s B2B and B2C websites and content management system
• Optimise process of uploading news articles to the website by utilising ImageMagick to automatically crop and resize high resolution images
• Develop innovative Warranty Online system with documentation, enabling customers to upload warranty requests, and staff to process them
