Tweet this!Friction TV are an online video debating website. The process of a debate is that a user will upload a video to the website that will encourage an issue, users will then comment on this issue using text or video responses.

The Friction TV website is built using Object Orientated PHP with a MySql database running behind it.
At the view layer of the site, XSLT style sheets are used to serve the XML data returned from PHP. Additionally Javascript is used with Ajax to dynamically change the data without refreshing the pages.
The website uses the MVC model (Model-view-controller) to abstract the data from the business and the view.
Using our API system, we built a widget that allows a company to load a debate from the website.
This was achieved on our partner - The Independents website.
